Language Register.

For the Indie genre, I will need to contain colloquialisms in my Magazine. This is because my target audience is aged 16-25; meaning that it will be informal and therefore low register. This will then create a friendly relationship with the audience, attracting them to purchase the Magazine. Although, it is aimed at 16-25 year olds I will be maintaining the formal side to convey a sense of professionalism throughout the whole of the Magazine. As my target audience is mainly males, I will use language that will be interpreted as if the Magazine was addressing them as a 'mate'.
